(Carcassonne to Nice)
A truely beautiful ride through Southern France incorporating the legendary climb of Mont Ventoux
Departing from within sight of the fortified Citadel of Carcassonne, this is a truly beautiful ride through Southern France. Spectacular gorges, flowing descents, hillside towns, market squares and the nightlife in Nice make this a ride that will stay long in the memory.
The route is 7 days of riding, 469 miles with 10,990,m of ascent and 11,401m of descent.
Expect breathtaking scenery and quiet roads as we pedal through the glorious National Parks of Haut-Languedoc, Cevennes, Luberon, Verdon and the Alpes Maritimes. The exception to the rule is the day that we spend on the slopes of the iconic Ventoux - mingle with cyclists of all nationalities and enjoy the buzz of the shops and restaurants in the nearby towns.

TOUR ITINERARY
Upon arrival at Toulouse or Carcassonne airport you will be met our tour driver for the short transfer to our hotel in Carcassonne.
The welcome meal takes place in the ancient Citadel just a short walk from the hotel allowing the riders to meet the tour leader and each other.
A full tour briefing takes place after the welcome meal in readyness for the grand depart the following morning.
The day starts with a relaxed breakfast.
Coffee and Lunch stops taken each day.
Every evening there will be a briefing of the next day's ride
We plan to celebrate your arrival in Vence (15 minutes from Nice) with a glass of something suitable!
Celebrations continue into the evening in Vence old town before a free transfer to the airport the
following day or stay longer if you wish.

Carries spare free issue inner tubes (700 by 23 mm Presta standard valve only).
Carries some spare brake blocks (issued free if they fit) - some long descents!
